Hello!

My name is Zelophehad Scott, ( whaaaaaaattt?!?!?!?) don’t bother trying to pronounce it, just call me Zel. I am the owner and chief photographer here at Hot Shoe Photography. I am a father of four beautiful girls and a husband to the most amazing wife in the stratosphere!

I’ve always had a love for art. I remember as a kid, my dad would buy me coloring books and crayons and I’d hang out in my room all day just coloring. As I got older, I discovered my passion for a photography while attending Millersville University. There I learned the “old fashion” technique of capturing photographs on film cameras and processing the images captured in darkrooms. Learning that technique gave me a unique perspective on how I visualize my subjects. I love capturing breathtaking moments. Photographing the joy and the laughter amongst friends and family is what I live for.

Now, for the elephant in the room. What’s the deal with the shoe on fire and why the name? The name Hot Shoe Photography has nothing to do with a shoe at all. A Hot Shoe is an electrical connection on top of most modern day cameras. A hot shoe allows for a photographer to use accessories such as external flashes, controllers, and a multitude of other attachments to achieve a desired look. My logo and name are simply a play on words. However, during my photoshoots I try wear Hot Shoes!

Now that you know my story, I’m excited to photograph your next monumental moment, so that I can capture your story!
